Sphere, chandeliers, stages, pantographs, and acoustic deflectors
Originally, baroque referred to the imperfect pearl in pearl oyster farming. Here then is the pearl of its setting, the baroque Chapelle Corneille.
– The giant sphere, weighing 4 tons and 7 meters in diameter: it is mechanical and rotates on itself to serve alternately as a chandelier or a “fish-eye” mirror; its acoustic lens allows it to diffract sound throughout the auditorium.
– The mobile stage with translational movement
– The 18 sound-absorbing pantographs
– The acoustic deflectors integrated into the chairs
– 15 small chandeliers suspended in the chapel
