For the exhibition “L’Aarchitecture est dans les histoires,” on display at the Maison de l’architecture des Pays de la Loire in Nantes, Métalobil designed and fabricated a new exhibition element: a curved steel ring, conceived as a structural and narrative support in its own right.

This object, both simple in its design and precise in its execution, was developed to expand the suspension possibilities within the exhibition space. It enables the creation of lightweight, modular, and legible hanging systems, offering curators and scenographers new freedom in the staging of content.

Beyond its immediate function for the exhibition, this ring was designed with a logic of reuse. Its robust construction and assembly principle allow it to be retracted, disassembled, transported, and reused for other events, other narratives, and other contexts. It thus fits into a sustainable approach to scenography, where elements are no longer ephemeral but evolutive.
