“Ulla von Brandenburg has reinterpreted one of her preparatory drawings inspired by the Saint-Simonians, recreating an abstract rural landscape using the patchwork technique across an area of more than 1,250 m².
By replacing fabric with paint, she extends her motif across the walls and ceiling of the station, transforming the physical space into a continuous landscape, connected by fragmented forms. The design, evoking a landscape of the past in motion, incorporates elements of abstraction and perspective, whilst creating a sense of movement, similar to that of a landscape seen from a train.
