“One might be surprised to find this service station here. Indeed, mobility is not the raison d’être of Jean Prouvé’s project here, but the perfectly demountable nature of this structure is undeniable. It is therefore a technical mobility, but not an image. On the other hand, as is often the case with Jean Prouvé’s work, it is easy for the eye to recognize here a form of lightness on the ground, even an apparent fragility. Yet Total service stations demonstrate great solidity and remarkable durability in our landscapes, as it is still possible to find some in service along the roadside.” Ré.Na.Mi.Mo.A blog
