Architect: IDA Concept
Client: La Villette
Location: Pavillon Delouvrier

Transformation of a 1,000 m² building into a completely flexible, modular space that can be divided into three large rooms if necessary using mobile partitions, including curved partitions, or used as a single space. The core architectural mission was supplemented by a “furniture” mission to meet all the facility’s needs. Furniture was an integral part of the design process. Rolling, pivoting, multifunctional… it enables versatility while fitting into the general movement that characterizes the future Pavilion.
• rolling furniture that can be moved within the workshops, but also throughout the building,
• multifunctional furniture serving as cloakrooms, storage, mirrors, screens, boards, flipcharts, seating, displays…
• mixed-use furniture that can be used for workshops as well as for space rentals
