A modular, sustainable, and reusable exhibition display system designed to support new forms of storytelling in the exhibition space of the Maison de l’architecture des Pays de la Loire in Nantes.
For the exhibition “L’Aarchitecture est dans les histoires,” on display at the Maison de l’architecture des Pays de la Loire in Nantes, Métalobil designed and fabricated a new exhibition element: a curved steel ring, conceived as a structural and narrative support in its own right.
This object, which is both simple in design and precise in execution, was developed to expand the range of display options within the exhibition space. It allows for the creation of lightweight, modular, and visually clear displays, offering curators and exhibition designers new freedom in presenting content.
Beyond its immediate function for the exhibition, this ring was designed with reuse in mind. Its sturdy construction and design allow it to be retracted, disassembled, transported, and reused for other events, other narratives, and other contexts. It thus embodies a sustainable approach to exhibition design, in which elements are no longer ephemeral but adaptable.
