“The Nautiluscope is a hybrid of a telescope and a kaleidoscope, designed to produce an augmented view of the surrounding exhibition space. Both a mechanical structure and an optical sculpture, its form is based on that of a Muzo-habitus quartz crystal, whose complex facets heighten the metamorphic vision of a spacecraft. It also pays tribute to Jules Verne, the celebrated author of “From the Earth to the Moon”, “Around the Moon” and “The Chase of the Golden Meteor”.” Ch. Charbonnel
